This year, we received a total of twenty-five applications for the IMS Outstanding Dissertation Award (IMSODA2026), representing twelve countries and eight different languages. Scholars who completed their doctoral dissertation in the field of music during 2025 and wrote it in a language other than English were eligible to apply for the IMSODA2026. The committee agreed to award one prize and one honorable mention:
