Répertoire International de Littérature Musicale (RILM) offers resources that serve the global music research community. RILM’s flagship publication, RILM Abstracts of Music Literature, is an international, multilingual bibliography of writings about music and related topics. RILM Abstracts of Music Literature with Full Text additionally provides complete content from over 300 journals. The RILM Index to Scores and Collected Editions (RISE) offers a finding aid for searching specific musical works contained in collections, sets, and series. The RILM Archive of Popular Music Magazines (RAPMM) is an online collection of over 135 independently published popular music magazines and fanzines from the 1960s to the present day. RILM Music Encyclopedias is the ever-expanding, full-text compilation of reference works, many unavailable elsewhere online. DEUMM Online digitizes, enhances, and augments the Dizionario enciclopedico universale della musica e dei musicisti (DEUMM), the most extensive modern music dictionary in the Italian language. Partnering with publishers Bärenreiter and J.B. Metzler, RILM hosts MGG Online, which combines the second edition of Die Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart with new and revised content. RILM also hosts Hofmeister XIX, an online, searchable version of the Hofmeister Monatsberichte, covering the years 1829–1900. In addition, RILM publishes “How to Write about Music: The RILM Manual of Style.” RILM’s International Center is housed at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City.
RILM is a joint project of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives, and Documentation Centres (IAML); the International Musicological Society (IMS); the International Council for Traditions of Music and Dance (ICTMD); and the International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM).
