Scholars who have completed their doctoral dissertation in the field of music in 2025 are eligible to apply for the IMS Outstanding Dissertation Award 2026 (IMSODA2026). This year’s competition is open to dissertations written in any language other than English. (Next year’s competition will be for English-language dissertations completed in 2025 or 2026.) The award, which includes a cash prize, is overseen by an international committee led by members of the IMS Directorium. The application deadline is 23 March 2026, 23:59 CET
