Online

The IMS Study Group “Auditory History” will hold its first online colloquium of the spring term on 10 March 2025 at 16:00 CET. The colloquium will host a project talk entitled “Listening to Tehran: Sonic Palimpsests and Affective Historical Imaginaries” by Laudan Nooshin (City St. George’s, University of London). Nooshin will introduce her project on the sounds of Tehran (www.sonictehran.com) and will then discuss the app-based historical soundwalk called Sayyareh, through which the historical sounds of Tehran from the late 19th to mid-20th centuries are reimagined for contemporary listeners.
